We're SO PROUD of this girl. She came to us a few weeks ago asking if (telling us was more like it!) she could get vaxed. Fred and I had been on the fence about this and while we did have SOME conversations with her surrounding the pros and cons of the vaccine at the end of the day part of being a parent is educating your children and then helping them make the best possible decision. She is growing up and it's important to allow her some input so she's confident, educated and knows she has a voice in HER healthcare options.

Business supporting business. At least that was my 'excuse' for stopping by @lilyofthevalleycupcakery this rainy afternoon. See I've been CRAVING a good plain old vanilla cupcake and I just haven't had a chance, but today after I picked up the kids it was our first spot and only thing on my mind! While #covid is still a thing you can easily walk up to the window where they have a sign of all of the daily cake and dessert listings and take your pick...but let me forewarn you it won't be easy making a selection. These guys are just plain old nice people who produce a good product. Go! Stop by and pick up one or one dozen than let me know what you think.

While on a walk, I glanced down from the bridge and saw this mother and her daughter sitting on the banks of creek. Watching them filled my spirit. It was a warm and touching moment. I took their photo from the back to respect their privacy but also as a way to remember that as women we carry a lot on our shoulders and while we'd love time away from everything to decompress it's not always an option. The next best thing, find some peace

Often I see restaurants use stock photography when they post food photos. I'm not sure if it's because they don't have time,aren't sure how to create drool worthy photos or think it's just easier to use stock vs. their own work. Food photography can be trick yes, because you need layers, lighting, and all of the other rules of Photography coming into play. But simple is best imo.
