Last week I put out a model call so that I could build the glamour and boudoir side of my business and the response that I received was AMAZING.
I got emails, text, and private Facebook messages. I never thought that so many women would respond like this. For so long whenever I tell someone that I am boudoir photographer I get A LOOK. You know the one, like I should wrap my camera in an unmarked brown paper bag and hide in the corner.
People have this view of boudoir photography and think it’s Porn. Well to that I say keep walking. Boudoir photography for me has taken on a WHOLE new meaning. I am a mom, wife, lover,business owner, sister, daughter, Christian, student and the list goes on.
So when I made the decision to start shooting boudior it was really a no brainer. I did it because I wanted to help other women feel empowered. Comfortable. Beautiful. Sexy. Confident. Boudoir is not about getting naked or about how much skin you can show, its about being comfortable in the skin you have.
When you look up the meaning of the word Boudoir it means a womans bedroom, a sulking place, or private sitting room. So in private what would you wear? For yourself? Your someone special?
Whatever it is let it be SPECIAL because you surely are.
