Over the last 15 weeks I have been a Photojournalism student at Philadelphia’s Community College. I returned to school 2 years ago after I lost my job as a Housing and Credit counselor for a non-profit agency. While starting my business has not been easy let alone being a mom and student I can honestly say I would not trade the experiences in for all the tea in China. It has been a struggle learning how to curtail my spending and live on a budget but the time home with my children and seeing them grow is PRICELESS.
I have also gained new insight to me as a person. I am finding that YES I can do just about anything, I can “CRUSH IT” as long as I work hard enough, love my family, and live my passion.
As a result of living my passion I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the best photographers in the industry, both local and nationally. From Sal Cincotta and Christa Meola to Duane Michaels and Hugh Dillon of Philly Chit Chat.
I have also had the pleasure of having some very interesting people stand in front of my lens. As I have stated earlier I learned a lot about myself over the last 2+ years and one was to get in front of the camera with these people so I can prove it and the other was to push people aside so I can get a picture of me with said special person. I have a few personal projects in the works and I may just be able to use one of these images.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Congratulations for pursing your passion. Many times we get stuck on setbacks and do not realize they are the perfect opportunity to set us up for come backs! Spending time with your family must be wonderful!

I enjoyed looking at the photos you shared here. It was also nice to read the story about how you started something new after a tragedy (job loss) and were able to find happiness and satisfaction in your new career.
