Yes I know, we are well into the year but I wanted to ensure that this went out after all of the hype with New Year Resolutions died down and people were committed to reading and self-care and me time. These books were some of my favorite last year and some that I have revisited this year because I enjoyed them so much. If you have read them let me know what you thought in the comments below and as you read them post your thoughts on social and tag me using @MadCrisBooks Happy Reading
1.Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill. This is the best book EVA!!! I have it as an audiobook and have listened to it at least once a month. Every time I hear it I learn something new.
2. Shoe Dog Phil Knight-We tend to judge all big businesses by the same ruler. When I read this book it opened me up to the people behind every corporation. Business is people and when you connect with them you that’s how business grows. Phil Knight wants to make a good running shoe that’s all. I think this is a must read for all small business owners.
Now I don’t the recall how this book ended up on my wishlist of books to read, but I read it anyway because my sister and I were binge watching Grey’s Anatomy last year and I was girl crushing on Shonda because of all of her shows. So I downloaded the book and was hooked. She is an amazing story teller..Of course she is she’s Shonda. But the lessons in this book about saying yes to yourself and more importantly how saying no can truly life changing.
Gaby Bernstein’s best one yet. Now listen here I’m not one of those heavily spiritual people. I meditate and do my fair share of yoga. But I’m not all woo-woo over the universe. I get my messages and keep it moving. But this book had a nice balance and the title hooked me and I was all, like hum OK universe let’s see what you got. Gaby laid some good track here. It’s a great book read it!
5.What Most Successful People Do. I met Laura at Main Line Today’s Women on the Move event in October 2016 and boy did my girl crush show!!!
