2017 Weddings hit me and my business both as a shock and a blessing last year. I normally only photograph Headshots and corporate events but when these inquiries came in from trusted networking counterparts asking me to photograph the weddings of a daughter or the longtime office manager friend who, after starting her business as a baker decided to marry her best friend or a women, who after taking in countless children decided that she wanted to be an older bride because found love again, how do you say no to those request?! Weddings have truly become one of my most favorite parts of the business. I had the honor of photographing some of the most stunning couples any photographer could ever meet. As I’ve said ALL of them came as a result of networking referrals and while I had reservations on whether or not I could handle the task of being their wedding photographer and capturing their special days I think I did a pretty good job.
Each wedding had its own story, one couple lived in different states which made the planning process um …, fun to say the least. I had one bride in a wheelchair as a result of a car accident that almost ended her life, and one bride had a complete change of venue a month before the wedding. I loved seeing how throughout each hurdle these couples rallied to pulled off some amazing days for themselves and their families. The images that selected for this post were ones of my Brides and their incredible support circle. I know these ladies could not have made it through the planning process and their special days without these people. Again I loved being the fly on the wall watching families get made, love and commitments formed and history made. Thank you for trusting me to be your historian.
Best of luck to all of you,
