This week I’ll be celebrating my 44th birthday and as I do every year I reflect on business, family and personal goals. My step-father always said that your birthday was your New Year and Danielle LaPorte says in her book The Desire Map that she spends time during her birthday in reflection.
So in the beginning of February, I start reviewing all projects, plans, and ideas that I have been saving in my Evernote. Reviewing my schedule for the year and planning my promotions.
- review your systems, I usually plan my tax appointment around now so I take thsi time to review my online accounting software Freshbooks.
- implement processes- Custom service, how you respond to my clients as well as inquiry emails is important. Do you need to set up a second email just for customer service? If so how often and who on your team will check it?
- Plan your year / promotions/ vacations/ budgets etc. A fellow blogger once said that she takes time at the beginning of the year to sit down with her new calendar and schedule her important dates promos, birthdays,
