I love coffee. I don’t know when my need for a quick grab and anything goes drive into work coffee switched to a daily pour over or espresso habit. But I will say this I will go out of my way for a good…GREAT CUP of java. Below are 5 of my favorite shops to visit. There are a lot of other fantastic shops in the City of Brotherly love these are just my fav. I’ll share a few more over the next few weeks. If you have a favorite spot share it with me I’ll check it out and leave a review. Maybe we’ll run into each other at one of these places.

Elixr was the first time I had pour over coffee. I met Jeff from True Voice there and we had our first strategy session. I was leery of having poured over because you don’t add anything to it, yeah you drink it black..straight. NOTHING in it. It was the best thing I’ve ever had. It was smooth and silky and delicious. If you’ve never had pour over coffee go pay Elixr a visit and grab a cup. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every single penny you pay for it.

#GDO are best when mixed with a great cuppa coffee. OFC coffee house in Fairmount is a great meet up point for friends, network meetings, etc.

I discovered Shot Tower coffee when my kids were in Art School, the shop is run by 2 awesome girls and they always have a nice crowd of people and pets. Be sure to get there early on the weekend if you want a table because it does fill up early otherwise the to go service is quick courteous

I was a member of Headroom when I discovered this place, they have outdoor seating as well as a dining room. It’s cozy and has a certain air about them. I like it just to chill. It’s In Media, PA so it’s my out of the way ‘go to’ cafe when I want to get lost.

Trendy and very hipster no No wifi cafe, La Colombe has set its focus on building connections, real human connections in a world of tech and devices. My first visit there I was pissed off that they didn’t have an internet connection, but it forced me to enjoy my surroundings and take in the beauty of the area I was in. Fishtown has really redone itself. !5 years ago or more you’d not dare walk those streets now it’s a family friendly neighborhood that people are loving. And LaColombe is a landmark establishment in the area. When you go don’t be surprised if it’s standing room only and try their flat bread pizza. Oh my gosh its to die for.
