I get it when you start your business you fall in love, with everything. You log in to your Amazon Prime account and see all of these great things, business books, office supplies, Photography gear. But then real life sets in and you step back and look at your bank account and it’s like sh*t where did my cash go?! And soon realize what your business needs for REAL!
So here’s a list of a few must haves that you need to incorporate into your business. It makes the whole thing easier, more manageable and like the saying goes if you treat it like a business from the start it will always be a business. This is true even if you work a full-time job and this is just your side gig. If you are taking money from clients it’s a job, regardless of how many hours you spend on it. If someone is giving you money you should be treating this as a job and tracking expenses, income and your time.

Acuity I LOVE this site! I use it to allow the client the flexible to schedule their own sessions within the parameter of MY TIME. What!!! Yes, I go in and put my hours so clients see what’s available them and they book their sessions. No more can you fit me in here or there. They can see all of my open dates, group workshops, portraits sessions, one on one mentoring sessions it’s all there they can select how they want to book their time with me and even pay for it all through Acuity which links to Freshbooks and they get an email and text confirmation as well so I don’t have to stress anything. I go in weekly to perform a “systems check” because it’s just good business practice.
GoDaddy I wrote a blog post about starting a WordPress site with GoDaddy. I’ve been hosting with GoDaddy since I started my business and I now have 4 WordPress sites with them, not including my kid’s sites. Yes, Maddie and Cris have sites as well.
