My embarrassing photography moment

photography

As many of you know a few years ago I had the privilege to work as an intern at the Philadelphia Daily News. It was, needless to say an honor and opportunity that will stay with me FOREVER.  I meet some amazing people while I was there along with being assigned stories like The World Meeting of Families and a Breaking Double Murder at Lemon Hill.

On my first day, I was assigned what would be in my mind a HUGE story, Go follow Mayor Michael Nutter around on his Hotel tour. OMG! Follow the Mayor  NO WAY! Fo me this way too big! I show up at my first REAL press conference and started walking to the back of the room but figured I’m not getting a good picture of The Mayor here so I went outside and sure enough I got great shots of him getting out of his car while everyone else was waiting inside! He’s pressing the flesh with people (even ME!) I was loving it. We all go inside he says a few words and the press conference is now over….

So here it is my most embarrassing moment.

As a pack of press agents are vying content, (news reporters, videographers, photographers you name it,)  rush after this man to get shots of him talking with people on the street kissing babies talking with the hotel staff about the upcoming Popal visit…My pants split right up the middle, I didn’t realize this till we had been to our 3rd Hotel. Thank Goodness I had a sweater I took it off wrapped it around my waist and kept it moving.  It was my first day and I wasn’t backing out because the Mayor MAY HAVE seen my butt! I’m sure he’s seen bigger asses than mine during his administration.
