Self-care is a trending topic today, and if you are an entrepreneurial mom you know that it’s getting you lots of hits on your Instagram post when you use the hashtag. But the purpose of today’s post is Why girls day out sessions would be a fun way to spend a day with BFF’s.
Often we spend so much time working on our businesses, caring for our families and staying healthy that we put actual non-screen face time with our peeps on the bottom of our list of priorities. And when do you document these relationships, like REALLY document them? Carrie Bradshaw said in an episode of Sex in the City once that after graduation if a woman doesn’t get married there is no celebration of her life. No mothers day, no anniversary, no one to celebrate Christmas with and no one there to wake up with her on her birthday. Now we think that’s pretty fucking depressing but even if you have these people, a spouse, a partner and girlfriends galore. Do you schedule even a quarterly day out with them as part of a self-care regimen, Adult time to decompress talk about things, get a different perspective and just release. Time to not worry about things for a little while. When you schedule a GIRLS DAY OUT Session you capture laughter and smiles. You allow someone else to be in charge of the camera so goodbye selfies for one day! You get an opportunity to have someone cater to you if offered, with hair and makeup. All of my sessions are a party we have a make-up artist, mimosa, and music. We also have some fruit on hand so you have something to absorb the alcohol. If you go to another studio ask them if you have this option many may offer it. We love capturing the smiles and silly faces that happen between friends, especially friends that have been together since high school. Some clients opt for boudoir sessions other just do a special portrait session either session is fun because they speak to your relationship as friends. The important thing is to use this time as an opportunity to connect with friends, sisters and or family members and just have fun.
Here are a few things to have on hand when you schedule your session
- Music
- Hair and Make-up artist
- Drinks and Snacks
- great clothing options ( our welcome guides include advice for clients on what to bring like more rather than less on clothing, We never want you to wish you had something that was left at home)
