Last week the MadCris team and I attended a fabulous event at Garden State Discovery Museum which they lovingly titled Groovin’ and Grubbin’! The hubs and I picked up the Team from camp and trecked over the bridge for a gander at this new event. We had been to almost every kid friendly place in Philly and the Main Line and now with them getting older (5 & 3 years old )felt this was a great opportunity to introduce some longer car rides and new adventures.
I did do my homework but when we got their I was IN LOVE!
The food trucks offered a very family friendly menu selections, from grilled cheese to lobster rolls and fries with truffle oil! Since every decision I make about our family outings is centered around food, I was in heaven.
The band, Ernie and Neal had the crowd going, my husband and I especially took to their song Time Out! I enjoyed them so much I forgot to ask if they had a CD that I could purchase. I get tired of the typical children’s music and this group was really refreshing with their music and crowd engagement. My kiddos don’t like a lot of people, but as the saying goes Music calms the savage beast…it sure did
We were there for 3 hours and it never felt like it.
We got home and Fred said to me ‘ I will admit I had a lot of fun! Now when a grown man says this OUT LOUD it’s a great night.
