Let’s face it photographers are a dime a dozen today. And the big camera companies make the entry into this field relatively easy.
I’ve had a camera in my hand since the age of 12. In one form or another there has been SOME form of machine designed to capture light in my hands.
When I lost my corporate job I returned to school and majored in Digital Imaging I also took a course or two in video production. I live and breathe this field. Nothing new that comes out of Canons Labs surprises me or excites me.
Today I am going to share with you why I may not be the best photographer for you. Why? Because I don’t get caught up in the cute. My style is simple, clean and modern. I don’t spend a lot of time purchasing frilly props.
If I don’t think I can complete your task I will most definitely recommend a photographer that will.
I may not the best photographer because I like the business side of what I do. I LOVE photography but the business of photography is even more. I love that I can provide my clients quality and protection with contracts and releases. Giving this to my clients has provided me the opportunity to grow and charge appropriately. I am not cheap,I am not high-priced either. I work from home since my kids and husband are my highest priority. This type of flexibility makes working a lot more convenient as I can accommodate your schedule.
I’m not the best photographer because you wont receive your images within 24 hours, I don’t rush! I pride myself in taking time to review my work to ensure that you will receive only the best images from your session or event. Anyone worth their weight in lenses can take a good picture with the technology we have today. I started in the days of film when there was no instant gratification called the back of the camera. I can take a good picture because I worked hard at learning this shit. And tomorrow morning when I pick up my gear I will work even harder. But you have to want it. You have to get it right in camera no amount of Photoshop will fix the untrained . Returning to school helped me do this but there are so many other ways to learns.
When I photograph someone, I try to help them see themselves as the world sees them, and I see everyone as a beautiful gift. We were meant to cross paths that day, which is why they happen to be in front of my camera.
Hugs,
Wanda
