M’s Story
I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2006 after the birth of my son S-. I was 25 years old. It took several doctors and two years to figure out what was wrong. This disease is very hard to wrap your head around. From the daily struggles of balancing a full time job and a family with two children. People don’t understand you may look good on the outside but you some days you feel like you are dying on the inside. I still 9 years later have a hard time excepting this disease. I keep saying I will go to a support group and talk to others. Every time I get the strength or courage something comes up. I have had two major brain surgeries for a cyst in the brain. Along with many flareups, constantly being tired, joint pain, rashes and constant medication changes. My goal is to share my story and help others who live with this disease.
