Yesterday Fred and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary, today I celebrate the 6th Anniversary of My Blog! Oh, how things just happen! Below is the very first blog post I ever wrote, and while I never thought I’d be here, a Studio owner, having met and worked with some of the most amazing people and companies that at one time were only dreams for me.  Today I am humbled. My work has graced newspapers, magazines, books and online outlets not only Nation but Worldwide! I have to stop and take it in because I still don’t believe it some days. I’m just a girl who grew up in North Philly on 5th Street the daughter of a Single Mom who worked in a factory. From the World Meeting of Families and The Pope to The Small Art Shop on The Main Line in Suburban Philadelphia, I am happy to work with a great group of business owners.

Today my husband and I  celebrated our 4 yr anniversary.  When we started this marriage I had a lot of ideas as to what I was going to do with my life once I became a wife, I knew that at some point we wanted to have children and I wanted to start my own business.  He encouraged this idea in me and that is when I decided that I wanted to start taking pictures. We saved some money and bought some really good quality camera equipment and I am now SLOWLY starting this endeavor.  Today, we have 2 children,  a 6 bedroom house, 2 cars, along with full-time jobs, and with the economy being in such a rut the reality of life is such that I need to work a full-time job while I treat my photography business as a side hustle.  I love taking pictures! I also love sharing information. What Through Your Eyes will share is information from one working mom to another on how to balance life and still grow your passion.  I cannot promise that the information provided will make you rich overnight, I can only hope that you will find enlightenment while you take this journey.  I invite all of you to share your thoughts and feedback as to how I can improve this site for you.
