A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing this lovely family. When I spoke with Lisa she and I agreed that we would meet out in West Chester, PA on the estate of her grandparents who are no longer with her. I was more than happy to take the drive since I could tell this property had sentimental meaning to her by the tone in her voice. When I arrived at the property I thought I was in the wrong place I had NEVER seen a driveway so long before!!! The house WWWAAAAYYY back from the road I couldn’t see it till I drove UP the 1/2 way up the driveway. All I could think to myself was I needed land like this for my babies. There was a room to run and a pond, like really, how much fun would that be in the middle of July. So anyway, I drove around to the back of the house and waited she arrived and I told me the story of how she spent many a summer here as a young girl and the farm that her grandparents tended.
Today the property is being sold, the pond is dried up and the flowers are fake. Gone are the days of her youth but we were able to capture some beautiful images for her before the land is sold.
