I have always felt a strong connection with trees. They are foundational, rooted and life-sustaining. Trees are seasonal, and they are geographical as well. If you think about it much like our businesses too. Our businesses are the lifeline for our families. Our businesses provide an income with which we use to purchase food and shelter. Many businesses, we hope are generational or we plan financially at least for generations to come with the money that our businesses provide. Some businesses, like my own, see peaks and valleys, depending on the season so there will be times when I will have an abundance and times when I have to prepare for the winter. But if I have prepared my business well and given it strong roots meaning that I have watered with a good network, fertilized it with good business practices and nurtured it every day with time, productive actions and education, the Tree that is my business will continue to blossom because it is strong.
