Being a parent means that your life will change and change daily! Becoming a mom was the best thing that could have ever happened to me, but I’d be lying if I said there are days when I have remind myself that parenting is hard and a task that requires a lot of patience!
My husband and I have always believed that we aren’t raising children we are raising adults. Every day it is our responsibility to ensure that our team is prepared for life outside of these walls we call home.
We spend a lot of time teaching, guiding and loving that I believe we often forget that the ultimate goal for our family to THRIVE! I spend a lot of time worrying about how my kids will “turn out” that I forget to be mentally present in the here and now. This is where my friend Robert Zeitlin comes in. See a few years ago Robert wrote a book, Laugh More Yell less, How to Raise Kick Ass Kids, in his new updated version How to Raise Kick Ass Kids- The Quarantine Edition., Robert goes into detail on how to manage the new norm of our ‘stay at home’ orders and life with kids that is just restricted.
When I heard that he released an updated version I quickly picked it up. And I gotta say it did not disappoint! So I reached out and asked him if he’d be willing to be a guest on my podcast and he graciously agreed. You can listen here- https://open.spotify.com/show/2lClaAow3uAKI7xxzDqy3S
